Hudson River Challenge benefit tournament
The NJBF (TBF) supports our troops and their families via the USO of Metropolitan New York and is sponsoring the Hudson River Challenge benefit tournament. As managed by one of our NJBF premier bass clubs, the Bergen Bassmasters, the 9/27 Open Tournament will be a Team Format with generous payouts and prizes. As a special bonus payout, Orange County Choppers are sponsoring a double award at $1,000 for each lunker largemouth and smallmouth bass released alive ($2,000 total). TBF-FLW sponsor, Ranger Boats is also supporting the event. Besides a cash payout, the First Place Team receives two wood & glass encased US Flags that have flown over the WTC site (obtained by the USO and funded by the NJBF). In addition to the Tournament, Bergen is managing a “Day on the Water with a Pro” USO raffle from now until 8/20/09. The four Pro’s who have donated their time include Mike Iaconelli, Terry Baksay, Pete Gluszek and “Big Fred” Contaoi of OCC. To see where raffle tickets are being sold, check the www.bergenbassmasters.com website. Go to www.njbassfederation.com  to download applications.
